SpeedQwest™'s Data Centers are strategically
located on Qwest, AT&T’s, Global Crossing and Cable & Wireless'
OC48 / OC192 Global IP backbones. These locations,
together with the extensive public and private peering
arrangements, are designed to maximize your Internet
reach, bandwidth capacity and to optimize performance.
The
data infrastructure is supported by 3 Internet
backbone providers and offers full multi-peer
redundancy. The switched network employs Cisco
routers using the BGP4 protocol to ensure that
data can be routed in the event of an uplink
failure. Because of the redundant network
architecture, packets may be sent via alternative
routes should one of the backbone links fail.

The
network is also designed to allow bursting during
peak hours. This allows us to accommodate even the
largest spikes in traffic that are often associated
with times of heavy Internet usage.
With a heavy focus
on providing a robust hardware platform while
minimizing down time, we have adopted and
implemented certain reliable precautionary measures
such as:
-
All
front-end servers will have an identically
configured spare server available for immediate
replacement, in case of server failure.
-
Central
database will be replicated 24x7 with a remote
server to provide database redundancy.
To ensure your data’s security, our facilities are
staffed 24 hours a day with on-site Security
personnel and equipped
with both interior and exterior closed circuit
cameras.
